SEC // 01 — PUBLICATIONS & ARCHIVEI am Tony Coleby and I am a freelance photographer based in March, Cambridgeshire since 2009, erstwhile as Perfect Yellow Creative.
I have been widely published both in print and online including covers and features in Disorder Magazine, Cambs Times, Fenland Citizen, the BBC News website, Art and Soul, Dominion (part of Terrorizer magazine) and various music sites. I have art credits for CDs, music downloads and novels for which my distinctive style is often sought out.
I have shot many, many live music and arts events including festivals such as Rock Ness, Stag and Dagger, Strawberry Fair and associated Cambridge Band Competition, Fordhamfest, Pink Festival (with dedicated gallery on BBC Cambridgeshire). Artists I have had the pleasure of snapping live include Adam Ant, Kasabian, Human League, Orb, Lone, Orange Goblin, Viking Skull, Dreadzone, ex-Simple Minds, March Violets, Lahannya. As well as Cambridgeshire legends such as Unit Nine, Sachanovak, The Loop and virtually everyone who has ever strummed a guitar within the boundaries of Cambridge.
I work with some of the leading shop refit firms in the UK such as Delta Bravo Ltd. (the gallery there is all my work) and am often called upon to document refits at restaurant chains such as Domino's Pizza and Poncho 8 as well as independent shops throughout the country and also retail/residential projects especially in London. I also produce images capturing the style and unique foods of restaurants already up and running and have an eye for portraying the vibrancy and life of a business.
I was selected by Disorder magazine to produce a set of images for an exhibition entitled "We Could be Heroes" in which my team and I made over ordinary people to be snapped as their icons during which we had the pleasure of photographing imitators of the likes of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Lemmy, Siouxsie Sioux, Johnny Rotten, Kurt Cobain, Sir Douglas Bader, Tankgirl and The Crow!
I have helped authors producing their first novels with original art work and design such as Lucy Brazier's now quite popular Secret Diary of PorterGirl and Debz Lowry's Dark Seeds 3AM. Recently I was commissioned to produce original art work for Cambridge singer/songwriter Mark Shepherd's debut album Bad Man which involved making a credit card sized USB stick for promotional distribution.

SEC // 02 — COMMISSIONS & LICENSINGPersonal Photoshoot
£150Includes a reasonable amount of time, travel, editing, a generous number of prints, and high-quality digital copies. Printed gift certificates provided at no extra charge.
Commercial Project
£250Includes a reasonable amount of time, travel, editing, all high-quality digital images, and a commercial license to use them.
Print Sizes & Custom Media
Any SizeI can print any size or on almost any item for images taken or created by myself. Please get in touch if you want to know if a project is possible, the answer is usually yes!
Scope & Pricing
Additional time spent on site, a difficult location, additional staff, size and quantity of images or prints required, licensing and image editing or styling all affect pricing so please contact me to discuss your specific requirements.
Copyright
As a rule I never transfer copyright of images. This does not affect your commercial license in any way and we will have discussed usage prior to work taking place. Any derivative work produced as a new, original work MUST be cleared with me first.
Accreditation
Please credit tonycoleby.com with a standard DoFollow link on any website where the images are to be used.
Live Music and Event Photos
If I have taken photos on spec at your event (i.e. not prepaid) and published them on the web (normally Facebook, Flickr or this website), then you are free to share them with my logo intact and with accreditation as above. In no case crop, edit or alter any image to remove my logo. If you do this my standard image licensing rates will become payable.
My One Sentence Contract
In the absence of any other contract, written or verbal, then the following applies:
All of these terms and conditions are subject to change and are the result of years of trying to forge a happy compromise between "getting on with the job" and "being paid a fair rate". It is my firm belief that none of my terms are unfair or vastly different to those of my peers with whom I review these regularly.
